Chancroid is a sexually transmitted disease that results in the formation of fluid filled ulcers that are painful to touch and can cause swelling in the groin area. Sometimes the swollen lymph nodes will cause the ulcers to be filled with pus that has to be drained. The condition is highly contagious especially in situations where there is not enough sexual education or health care.
